This is a program to copy floppy disks
It makes use of the dd command and make an exact floppy copy, including the boot-sector.
See "man dd" and "info dd" for details and information of the dd command.
diskcopy [-h | --help] diskcopy [-v | --version] diskcopy n
-h, --help Display this help message and exit. -v, --version Display version and exit.
Constant FLOPPY_DRIVE in line 67 - 69 is your floppy device. Change this if needed. Default is /dev/fd0.
diskcopy # Simple dos style diskcopy.
diskcopy -h # Prints out the help screen.
diskcopy -v # Prints out the version number.
diskcopy 3 # Makes 3 copies of the same floppy.
Installing the diskcopy script into the /usr/local/bin
and a man entry into /usr/man/man1
can be performed with the following series of commands:
# tar -xvfz diskcopy-0.7.tar.gz
# cd diskcopy-0.7
# [root password]
# make install
or manually copy
diskcopy to /usr/local/bin
diskcopy.1 to /usr/man/man1
None that I know.
